With this blog post, we want to give people from around the world and from different backgrounds the opportunity to tell their personal stories in times of the Corona pandemic. Today's story is from Qiryat Tiv'on, a local association from Galilee in northern Israel. Gili Waldmann shares her experiences during the lockdown. For Gili, the interruption of her daily life led her to think about her life in ways she would not have been able to do in the normal stress of everyday life. It was a time for personal reflection and informed decision making. Listen to the story for yourself.
Because the Corona pandemic has now reached all the countries of the world and is impacting the lives of the majority of the world’s population, we, two students of Cusanus University, are interested in learning about people in other places of the world beyond what the media has covered. The aim is to enter into a socially relevant dialogue at the interface between academic scholarship and society, and to authentically provide different perspectives. With this goal in mind, we want to ask people from different regions of the world to offer their own interpretations, their own narratives of the current situation. The blog posts are displayed in alphabetical order of regions, countries and cities. Note: The information provided here represents the individual opinions and individual experiences of those persons interviewed.
